تعویض ملکه :
یکی از اصولی ترین کار در زنبور داری داشتن ملکه های سالم و جوان از نژاد خیلی خوب که جمعیت شما هم آرام باشند و هم تولید عسل بالایی داشته باشند و از نظر زمستان گذرانی بسیار عالی بوده و در برابر بیماری ها مقاوم باشند . بدین منظور شما باید از ملکه های اصلاح نژاد شده که برای ایران بومی سازی شده اند استفاده نمایید . برای داشتن یک جمعیت ایده آل بهتر است که هر دو سال یک بار یعنی سال در میان ملکه های خود را تعویض کنید . بهترین زمان برای تعویض ملکه در بهار و در ماه فروردین و اردیبهشت می باشد . این یکی از بهترین راه ها برای داشتن جمعیت های قوی و در نتیجه سالم می باشد . چرا که ملکه بیش از 75 % تخم های خود را در دو سال اول زندگی خود میریزد . و از سال سوم ضعیف شده و به شدت از میزان تخم ریزیش کاسته می گردد .
